Serengeti National Park

Synonymous with safari, the Serengeti is where to go in Tanzania for game viewing at its most dramatic. Travel across the legendary Serengeti in Tanzania for an unforgettable safari experience that trails the world’s largest land migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and other grazers.

Neng’lang’eti Africa Safari brings you close to the action and its unique locations determined each season, according to the dynamic movements of the wildebeest mega herds. Without fail, millions of ungulates circle through East Africa each year, prompted by rainfall and followed by apex predators like lion, cheetah, hyena and leopard.

From December to March, where you will find yourself in the midst of the short-grass grazing season with calving during late January. From July to October you will see the herd brave the crocodile-infested waters of the Mara River. Forming the centrepiece of most inaugural Tanzania safari itineraries, the Migration is a mind-blowing display of nature at her most extraordinary. This awe-inspiring event is one of the last mass terrestrial animal movements left on the planet – the herds are so big they can be observed from space!

Ngorongoro Crater
The dazzling ngororngoro crater deemed a world heritage site, is a volcanic UN-bloc-ken caldera in the eastern * Great* Rift Valley within Northern Tanzania. Lies 610m deep and is 264km with a heavily Forest rim full of wildlife. The Caldera is predominantly open grassland which is a home to a diverse array of animals including elephants, black Rhinoceroses, Leopard, buffalos, zebras, warthogs, gnu* wildebeest* and many more including hundred flocks of birds. This superb Tanzania safari destination offers excellent game viewing in an unbelievably unique setting. It’s renowned for delivering the easiest and most reliable Big 5 sightings in East Africa, and it provides what is arguably the best safari in Tanzania.
03
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire is the least-visited destination on the so-called Northern Safari Circuit. Don't let that put you off however. Best known for its elephant herds and tree-climbing lions, Tarangire is home to all the classic African Savannah species plus a few unusual ones - such as the long-necked gerenuk - that you won't see in the Serengeti. It's home to all the big predators and with 550 species of bird on the tick list, it's a fabulous destination for bird watchers.
04
Magnificent Kilimanjaro
A dormant volcanic mountain with three cones — Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira — Kilimanjaro is Africa’s tallest mountain and the highest freestanding mountain in the world. Unlike the other Seven Summits (the highest mountains on each continent), Kilimanjaro is a non-technical climb. This means that you don’t need to be a seasoned mountaineer to tackle it; however, it is not to be taken lightly and requires a certain level of fitness and preparation. Most routes can be done in six days or stretched to eight. We recommend taking as long as possible to better acclimatise to the altitudes and climates.
05
Dazzling Zanzibar
Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous archipelago off the coast of Tanzania consisting of Zanzibar Island (locally known has Unguja), Pemba and many smaller Islands. Zanzibar island is approximately 90km long and 40km wide with some of the best scuba diving and most pristine beaches in the world.

Night Safari
Night drives offer a thrilling new way to experience the bush. Under the cover of dark, the Savannah changes and a whole new world of nocturnal creatures appears. Many predators that spend the daylight resting come out in the dark of night. The sleek genet searches for dinner, competing with serval and African wildcat while the fearless honey badger also sets out to hunt its next meal. The leopard rules the territory, stealthily stalking and ambushing unsuspecting antelope. The lion wakes from its day spent napping in the sun and night birds come to life, swooping acrobatically and making use of reflective markings to confuse prey.   The night does not only belong to the hunter though. Elephants enjoy the cool, interrupting their constant grazing with sleep, nudging each other awake when danger appears.
